Municipal TTA Webinar: FY26 Opioid Abatement Expenditure Report
August 5
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), in partnership with Mosaic Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) program, invited municipal officials and staff involved in the planning, administration, oversight, and reporting of municipal opioid abatement funds to participate in an extended webinar.
BSAS officials provided municipalities with information, tools, and guidance to support compliance with the Massachusetts State Subdivision Agreement, strengthen local oversight practices, and prepare for the FY26 Municipal Opioid Abatement Expenditure Report.
Objectives:
- Understand the purpose, guiding principles, and key components of the reporting & oversight framework.
- Explain how BSAS identifies, assesses, and responds to potential reporting, spending, and compliance concerns, and how that information informs follow-up, technical assistance, and oversight activities.
- Accurately complete and submit the FY26 Municipal Opioid Abatement Expenditure Report, including required financial and programmatic information, according to reporting requirements, deadlines, and submission procedures, while recognizing and avoiding common reporting errors.
- Identify and locate the tools, guidance, office hours, and individualized technical assistance resources available to help municipalities prevent and address potential concerns.
